A MESSAGE FROM

JOSH BURNS MP
I want to wish all members of the Maccabi family a Chag Pesach Sameach.
Pesach is a time for us to reflect on when where we triumphed over adversity.
During Pesach we celebrate our freedom, but this will be a Chag like no other, as we are not free to celebrate it with our extended families.
Freedom this year is a choice. This year we choose to stay home and protect each other.
Stopping the spread of Coronavirus is vital and we all need to follow the rules set out by our federal and state Governments.
Practicing social distancing, staying home unless it’s absolutely necessary to go out, good hygiene and more are vital, and keeping appraised of any changes in rules is important too.
So too is looking after your mental and physical health – we can’t turn up to our Maccabi games anymore, but we can still go out for a walk or run alone or in pairs, practicing social distancing.
We as a Jewish people have overcome far worse than the Coronavirus and we will get through this, as we always do, together, by looking out for each other and by staying home.
Stay safe and if you or your family need any assistance over the coming weeks, please don’t hesitate to contact my office on (03) 9534 8126 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org – there are also updates regularly being made on my website at www.joshburns.com.au/coronavirus or at www.health.gov.au
Chag Sameach and stay safe,
